- Title
ELIMINATION OF DISABILITY BENEFIT.
- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. court case Price v. Laborer's Pension Fund which deals with the elimination of disability benefits. The plaintiff sued the pension fund after the trustees ceased providing the benefit. The Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit ordered a district court to enter judgment for the plan, noting that the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) does not protect welfare benefits such as disability benefits from retroactive cutback.
