- Abstract
The article discusses the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission and the influences of the corporation in political process. It notes the consequences of the decision allowing corporations the leverage in manipulating or utilizing popular media like the televisions and radios to campaign for their favorite candidates. It emphasizes the failure of the court to recognize precisely what the corporations are and how their influences are felt in the political system. It also mentions that people who own enough shares have controlling interests in transnational corporations, not those people who own majority of shares.
