- Title
The Greening of NEHA.
- Authors
Fabian, Nelson
- Abstract
The article offers information on the measures and initiatives taken by the U.S. National Environmental Health Association (NEHA), for transforming its Annual Educational Conference into increasingly green and sustainable event. The association has switched from paper to more electronic mediums for the promotions and printing the newsletters of its conference. Its office has also gone green and the layout of the entire conference program is now developed and determined in a paperless e-format. The NEHA encourages its members to register online which has resulted in a considerable reduction in the number of mailed registrations. Also a virtual platform has been provided to exhibitors for promoting their companies. The association also offers 'NEHA Sustainability Award' to foster sustainability.
