- Abstract
The article discusses various imprints connected to or printed by the Ephrata Cloister, a historic communal pietistic religious community in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, that were acquired by the Communal Societies Collection of the Hamilton College Library. These imprints include an abstract of a diary written by a community member, the theological writings of Cloister founder Johann Conrad Beissel, and "Zionitischer Weyrauchs Hugel," a hymnal by Beissel. Also discussed are various devotional writings, catechisms, and prayer books.
