- Title
Textiles and the Environment from AATCC.
- Authors
Bide, Martin; Mather-Gale, Mary Beth
- Abstract
The article discusses the incorporation of antimicrobials in many different products including a range of textile materials. It is suggested that a recent article describes the EPA's draft to clarify the Treated Articles Exemption to Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act regulations for products with antimicrobial protects the product rather than the person using the product. It is inferred that control of microorganisms be demonstrated through tests that stimulate conditions of use, and that companies must have the data on file.
