- Abstract
Traditional spectrophotometric analysis to determine concentrations in multicomponent dyebaths is limited to conditions under which the Beer-Lambert Law is obeyed. To overcome this limitation, a flow injection analysis system has been developed. Multivariate calibration models have been developed to allow the rapid determination of each dye in a mixture. The current system is limited to the analysis of water-soluble dyes, but minor modifications to the hardware and software should allow the determination of concentrations of solvent-soluble dyes.
