- Authors
Paquet, France; Marchionni, Caroline
- Abstract
E-learning is becoming more and more popular as it allows the delivery of educational content in a way that is more convenient and self-paced than traditional methods. E-learning is flexible as content is accessible from various electronic devices in the workplace or outside of the work environment. This article describes the history of e-learning as an andragogical approach and offers a guide to the clinician who is seeking to create a module related to vascular access. Examples of three modules developed at the McGill University Health Centre in Montréal, Québec, are used to illustrate key elements that should be included in a fun and effective e-learning tool. Learners’ perceptions of the e-learning modules are described.
