- Abstract
The article discusses the study and teaching of oral history in the study of migrants. The author talks about the benefits of incorporating oral histories into the classroom, including engaging them in the usefulness of oral histories themselves. The immigration debate in the contemporary U.S. is also discussed. The article outlines a teaching method for oral histories, which includes national standards, a time frame, and a list of objectives. A list of interviewing reminders for students is also provided.
