- Abstract
The article discusses Massachusetts legislature frame work for self-sufficiency for women. Topics discussed include interpretations of self-sufficiency in Texas and Tennessee, implications of the U.S. Alimony Reform Act on compensation for women for unpaid contributions during the course of a marriage, and evolution of alimony laws in the Commonwealth. It also discusses the need to prevent laws related to gender-based discrimination for equal pay.
