- Abstract
An essay is presented which discusses the potential role that the U.S. Endangered Species Act could play in protecting biodiversity from the effects of climate change as of 2015. Habitat destruction and the risk of extinction for various plant and animal species are addressed, along with biodiversity law in America. The relationship between law and science is examined, as well as greenhouse gas emissions, America's Clean Air Act and U.S. federal environmental laws.
