The article focuses on the Indian patent law for multinational pharmaceutical companies (MNCs) and impact of Novartis AG v. Union of India on the law. Topics discussed include the role of World Trade Organization (WTO) in promoting globalization in intellectual property rights, and importance of the Agreement on Trade Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). It further discusses the issues of patentability.
