- Title
MODERNIZING UNDERINSURED MOTORIST COVERAGE IN MISSOURI: REMOVING THE INSURANCE PARADOX BETWEEN UNINSURED AND UNDERINSURED COVERAGE VIA LEGISLATIVE ACTION.
- Authors
REYNOLDS, DAVID W.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the legal loopholes and benefits in responses to Missouri's underinsured motorist (UIM) coverage, which deals with innocent party's damages from an accident that exceeds liability insurance coverage of a tortfeasor. It presents information on a legislative remedy that would encourage predictability, uniformity, and consumer protection in this approach. It sheds light on uninsured motorist coverage (UM) in order to comprehend and compare UIM and UI policies.
