- Abstract
The article discusses research which assessed virtual visits and virtual education in nursing homes in Oklahoma in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The study measured the number of facilities and nursing home staff that used smart tablets to participate in Project ECHO, for virtual family or friend visits and telemedicine visits. Themes that emerged include staff appreciation for access to tablets, improved ease and frequency of family visits and increased staff access to web-based resources.
