- Abstract
The article focuses on commemorations and military history in Canada and considers which Canadian military events should be commemorated. Topics of discussion include 2015 commemorative events including the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge in France during World War I involving the Canadian Corps and the 150th anniversary of the Canadian Confederation, the commemoration of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham in Québec, Québec, in 1759, and the federal government's mission concerning the War of 1812 in 2012.
