- Authors
Turner, Lisa
- Abstract
This article reports that an array of natural foot-care implements can help combat the common problems. Tools for massaging the feet are affordable luxuries with wide appeal. Pumice stones are gently abrasive, to help remove rough, dry skin and smooth the calluses that build up on soles and heels. Magnets are promoted for relieving swollen feet and helping to increase circulation by attracting iron in red blood cells to the surface of the skin. Moisturizing foot socks are a small-luxury item that can help soften cracked, dry feet. Fungal infections of the toenails, composed primarily of the tough protein called keratin, nails are more than ornamental.
