- Authors

- Abstract
The article highlights a study in parasitology which have identified a protein complex responsible for Plasmodium protein export. The authors of the study have identified a heat shock protein (HSP) family member, HSP101, which influence cellular properties, like rigidity, adherence and permeability, during Plasmodium parasite's replication in the host erythrocyte. The authors were also able to identified another protein called PTEX150, with a similar expression pattern to HSP101.
