- Abstract
The article discusses the 1796 novel "Translation of the Letters of a Hindoo Rajah" by the Scottish writer Elizabeth Hamilton. More specifically, the author proposes a reading of the novel that takes into consideration both its British and Irish contexts. Particular focus is also paid to the postcolonial and feminist criticism of the novel.
