- Authors
Dindo, Charlene
- Abstract
The article presents a question pertaining to the method that could include reading and writing in science activities. As an answer, it is claimed that reading readiness and writing skills can be integrated into science lessons through utilizing many visuals and hands-on learning. For instance, as the author alleged, if the topic is about fish, she lets her students have a toy fish to manipulate. The toy fish is either plastic or stuffed models, pictures in a book, real fish in an aquarium, and preserved fish in jars. Moreover, she alleged she makes sure that everything is likewise labeled and words are placed on a bulletin board, a wall chart, sentence grips, and marked in books for the students to remember them well.
