- Abstract
The article focuses on the Indiana Constitution of 1851 and examines how constitutional changes continue to influence state jurisprudence. Topics discussed include a justification for the creation of a new constitution issued by the delegates to the Indiana Constitutional Convention titled "An Address to the Electors of the State." Also discussed are several provisions of the constitution including the preservation of property rights and the elimination of unnecessary laws.
