- Title
NASA research for quieter supersonic aircraft.
- Abstract
The article reports on the establishment of the Lift and Nozzle Change Effects on Tail Shock (Lancets) project by the U.S. National Aeronautics & Space Administration (NASA) in California. The project, which aims to measure the jets' sound waves, will include flight tests of the F-15 jets at its Dryden Flight Research Center in Edwards. NASA anticipates that Lancets will prevent the development of supersonic aircraft brought by noise.
