- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. court case Barnes v. State which was related to unlawful entry into their home by police officers filed in Indiana Supreme Court. Topics discussed include Indiana Supreme Court's decision in the case in which it recognize the knock-and-announce rule as part of the Fourth Amendment protections, the limits of the self-defense law, and protect police officers and citizens from deadly encounters.
