- Abstract
The article discusses the important information about the democratic government in Latin America. It is mentioned that democracy in the region did not fully achieved and it is the most firmly established in those few countries. Democratic institutions in Latin America remain weak, plagued by rampant corruption, political polarization, and growing public skepticism about government and politics. Moreover, each of these threats to democratic governance in the country including political violence, military incursions into politics, fragile institutions, and alienated citizens has been greatly exacerbated by the region's economic crisis.
