- Title
MANLINESS AND THE CONSTITUTION.
- Authors
Kang, John M.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the impact of the manliness of men on the U.S. Constitution. It notes that the three caricatures of men which include the hypermasculine brute, the dutiful gentlemen and the independent thinker tend to affect the constitutional jurisprudence of the Supreme Court. It examines how hypermasculinity results to monarchy as well as the authority of men as father and monarch. It adds that a man exhibits gentlemanliness based on the values in the Constitution once he disregards the formal relevance of his gender.
