- Title
Fiscal Structure and Public College and University Credit Ratings.
- Authors
Serna, Gabriel R.; Cohen, Joshua M.
- Abstract
The article discusses how educational leaders can better respond to variable economic conditions by understanding fiscal structure affects institutional credit ratings. Credit ratings are important in determining how much it will cost to finance the purchase, renovation, or repurposing of space and buildings. Tuition and fee revenue has been transformed into a natural log to deal with the skewness of the data and ease the interpretation of parameter estimate coefficients.
