- Abstract
The article discusses how athletic training educators (ATE) can use tourniquets in prehospital setting and can teach external hemorrhage management using tourniquets. It highlights the textbook "Athletic Training Education Competencies" published by the National Athletic Trainers' Association, discusses ways to use windlass tourniquet, and mentions factors on which extent of external hemorrhaging depends.
