- Abstract
The article presents information on the 2005 Great American Smokeout event that was held on November 17, 2005 in the U.S. Millions of people are expected to quit smoking for a day or more by joining in the event. The Great American Smokeout is a nationally recognized event that challenges people to stop using tobacco and raise awareness around the many effective ways to quit smoking for good.
