- Abstract
Abstract The glass formation was investigated in the R 2O-B2O3 and R 2O-SiO2 binary systems and the R 2O-B2O3-SiO2 ternary systems, where R = Rb or Cs. Glasses in the R 2O-B2O3, R 2O-SiO2, and R 2O-B2O3-SiO2 (R = Rb, Cs) systems were synthesized. Glasses in the R 2O-B2O3-SiO2 systems with a high B2O3 content were synthesized for the first time. The composition triangles with the glass formation regions and boundaries were constructed.
