- Abstract
The article provides a detailed account on the history of the Greek-Catholic Church in Lithuania. It discusses the nine traditional religious communities and associations existing in the republic, which comprise as part of its historical, spiritual and social heritage. It also points out that the origins of the Greek-Catholic Church can be traced back to the times of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, a state whose history shaped the destiny of several Eastern European nations.
