- Abstract
The article features the Muslim Turkish community in Bulgaria. It is averred that the community was elicited to force its members to convert to Slav Christian names in a communist state creditworthy for the deaths and persecution of Christians. It is inferred that they set about fixing the structures of their former lives and ameliorated educational and social conditions in Muslim areas. Its policy is designed to assure secularized elite that could be merged within a socialist Bulgarian nation.
