- Abstract
In order to solve the problem that the gain of LLCLC resonant converter is sensitive to load changes, and the output voltage range and conversion efficiency are mutually restricted, a topology of LLCLC resonant converter was proposed based on pulse width modulation (PWM) voltage multiplying rectifier unit. Different voltage output modes were modulated by employing pulse frequency modulation (PFM) and PWM methods respectively; using the fundamental wave approximation method, the gain characteristics and power transmission characteristics of the LLCLC resonant network were analyzed, and analyzing the reactive power circulation characteristics of the converter when the PWM modulation method was used. Relationship between resonant frequency fr1,fr3 and notch frequency fr2 were established. Parameters of the resonant elements was designed, zero-voltage switching (ZVS) implementation method of the switches was analyzed, and the transformation strategy of three operation modes PFM_FR, PWM_FD, and PWM_DT of the LLCLC resonant converter was also given. Finally, experiments were carried out on a prototype with a capacity of 250 W, an input of 30 V, and an output of 18~112 V to verify effectiveness of the proposed LLCLC resonant converter topology and its modulation method. The output voltage range is 1~6.2, and the conversion efficiency reaches 96.1%.
