- Abstract
This article aims to understand the relationship between formal learning processes and the various types of information and educational resources available on the internet. With a qualitative approach, and adoption of the participant observation methodology, the research was carried out with 15 higher education students from the Federal University of Mato Grosso. Based on the culturalhistorical theory, the research findings were analyzed and revealed that students reorganize their learning processes through different learning ecologies, based on the use of the internet and its resources, such as videos, websites and digital texts. Interaction occurs, to a large extent, through messaging applications and online interaction, and study practices are closely consolidated by the mediating relationship of technologies. Thus, the results indicate that students overflow the classroom and transcend the contents received by teachers, being a fluid movement of cyberspace and characteristic of digital culture.
