- Abstract
The article looks at the treatment options for hyperhidrosis. Based on randomized controlled trials, onabotulinumtoxinA injections were able to reduce sweat production or symptoms. Another cited treatment is iontophoreisis, which was proven effective based on a controlled study of patients with focal hyperhidrosis in which half of them were treated with tap water iontophoresis. Meanwhile, topical aluminum chloride is recommended by the Canadian Hyperhidrosis Advisory Committee.
