- Abstract
This letter, published in the Indian Journal of Psychological Medicine, discusses the development and validation of a nurse-conducted brief psycho-educational module for disulfiram therapy, a treatment for alcohol dependence. The module was developed in two stages, with input from experts in psychiatry, clinical psychology, psychiatric nursing, and psychiatric social work. A pilot study was conducted to ensure the module's feasibility and clarity. The overall content validity of the module was estimated at 71.42%, indicating its appropriateness for the target population. The letter emphasizes the important role of healthcare professionals, such as nurses, in improving patients' adherence to alcoholism treatment.
