- Abstract
The article discusses the evaluations that were part of the U.S.'s Federal Writers' Project's hiring process for Kansas social science researchers. Topics, including the duties of a field worker, editing ability, the Wichita municipal airport and a description of an overpass on U.S. Highway 81, are discussed. An overview of the responses to the researcher evaluation, including that of the Republican politician Jessie Cramer, the reporter Royse Aldrich and the teacher Bessie Walters, is provided.
