The article offers information on the invention of plasticine and the use of clay in early motion pictures. William Harbutt provides insight on this invention through his book "Harbutt's Plastic Method and the Use of Plasticine in the Arts of Writing, Drawing & Modelling in Education Work." However, Harbutt's method on the development of many people regarded clay animation as unclear. The films that uses clay to creat realistic forms includes "Fun in a Bakery Shop," Che Chew Land," and "Sculptor's Nightmare."
