- Abstract
By investigating how Sensitive Education can contribute to expanding the potentiality for meaningful learning, we are contributing to enhancing the understanding of the necessary connection between the cognitive, affective, and bodily dimensions for a conception of education that values the being. Therefore, this study aimed to reflect upon methodological knowledge to support pedagogical actions, seeking to integrate the cognitive and affective dimensions of the teaching-learning process in Professional Education. To this end, this study is set in the field of educational practice in the school environment, in which 107 teachers from various fields of knowledge participated. For data collection, the following instruments were used: profile questionnaire, which supports the subjects' characterization; TALP - Free Word Association Technique (ABRIC, 1994); PCM - Multiple Classifications Procedure (ROAZZI, 1995); questionnaire to retrieve the subjects' sensitive memories of their school experiences in childhood, adolescence, youth, and teaching practice, approaches framed within the qualitative paradigm. Meanwhile, the research results point to the recreational experiences as tools for the new to be composed, not as if it were external to the teaching practice, but, rather, as something consciously embodied within the human being, understanding that it is in the interrelation of playing, creating, and feeling that the possibilities of a Sensitive Education materialize.
