- Abstract
The article discusses a study on growth biology of Cashmere goat found in the Buyun Mountains of the Liaotung Peninsula in China. It informs that a full-length open reading frame of cDNA-encoding prolactin protein in Liaoning Cashmere goats was isolated and its expression pattern in skin tissue at the stages of hair follicle cycling was examined for the study. The study result suggests that pituitary gland may be the major contributor of circulating prolactin in Cashmere goat.
