- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 36-year-old woman who presented with eyelid swelling and discomfort after swimming in a freshwater lagoon during a vacation in Costa Rica, which later progressed to a small tissue mass on her eyelid, and her subsequent diagnosis of myiasis with bot fly larvae as the cause. It mentions the physical exam findings, diagnosis, and treatment of the condition are discussed in detail.
