- Authors
Bruhn, Kristian; Lubowitz, Frank
- Abstract
The article deals with the German-Danish War of 1864 and the Danish intelligence service during the war. The war ended with Denmark's defeat and the cession of territories to Austria and Prussia. The Danish intelligence service was ineffective during the war and had difficulties finding qualified personnel. There were various espionage cases, but only a few individuals were convicted. After the war, the intelligence service was dismantled, but later reinstated. Cooperation with the local population was important for gathering information.
