- Abstract
The article discusses a ceremony held by the rural town of Noatak, Alaska near the Arctic Circle to honor local members of the National Guard who were called to serve in Iraq before 2012. The town held a community potluck dinner at the school, and speakers included the school principal, the school counselor, and the basketball coach. The soldiers were part of the Alaska Territorial Guard Scout Battalion, the 207th Infantry Brigade (Scouts), and their families were also honored at the event.
