DEFRA relaxes the rules on pet bird imports.
- Abstract
The article announces the deregulation of pet bird imports by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) in Great Britain. DEFRA annunciate that pet birds entering the country from European member states will no longer be subject to quarantine and veterinary inspection requirements. Furthermore, the relaxed rules apply only to imports of five or fewer birds accompanied by the owner.
