- Abstract
ABSTRACT Delinquency is often a source of crime and misery in a community. Truancy is frequently identified as a first step to delinquency too often resulting in a life of social deviance, addiction, and daily living instability. This paper provides case examples illustrating how long-term home-based psychotherapy, community supports such as therapeutic mentoring, and a strong mother can combine to divert delinquency in school aged children identified early with behavioral problems.
