The article focuses on the bobdownsite gemstones which was discovered in Canada. Topics discussed include the stone which was first discovered by Rod Tyson of Fine Minerals in Big Fish River in Yukon, Canada, the stones samples faceted by Brad Wilson of Alphine Gems in Kingstone, Ontario which was examined at Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) and the characteristics of faceted gems which includes its carat, properties such as color, lustre and diaphaneity and its density value.
