- Abstract
The article focuses on the Assault Weapons Ban in 1994 and discusses the major issues concerned with the same. Topics discussed include violation of Second Amendment rights from the ban, U.S. Supreme Court decision District of Columbia v. Heller in 2008 and the McDonald v. City of Chicago in 2010, and prohibition of the possession, transfer, and manufacture of semiautomatic assault firearms under the ban. Also discusses the reasons of failure of the Ban.
