Title
Contagion in financial networks.
Abstract
The article discusses the key models of contagion in financial systems in Great Britain. It focuses on how losses may potentially spread via the complex network of direct counterparty exposures following an initial default. It applies statistical techniques from complex network theory, and demonstrates that the relationship between financial system connectivity and contagion can be obtained for structures which reflect the complexities of financial networks.
