- Abstract
The authors explore the potential control group options for childhood cancer etiology studies. They offer information on the random digital dialing (RDD) research method. They discuss a study which compared the feasibility and representativeness of birth certificate and friend controls among childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients in Northern and Central California, published within the issue. The authors also reflect on the prevalence of cancer in children.
