- Abstract
An editorial is presented on developing a live-attenuated vaccine against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) for protecting children against the most common severe diseases during childhood. Topics include taking advantage of the postvaccination surveillance of acute respiratory infection for monitoring the occurrence of enhanced RSV disease in vaccine recipients; and virus replicates in the airway containing the variety of specific antibodies as well as T-cell immunity.
