ACCORD Alliance wins Sellafield decommissioning contract.
- Abstract
The article reports on the success of ACCORD Alliance, a group of several companies engaged in providing engineering services, in acquiring the contract to work on a project to decommission the solid waste storage silo in the nuclear facility in Sellafield, England. It was stated that the group, which was led by AMEC NNC Ltd., International Nuclear Solutions company, and DGP International Ltd., has won the contract through the Multi-Discipline Design House Framework Agreements. According to Alan Williams, project manager of AMEC, the contract is significant for the alliance to improve its status in actual decommissioning phase.
