- Authors

- Abstract
The article presents the empirical results of the fieldwork conducted in the case of poor whites in post-apartheid cities in Bloemfontein, South Africa. It provides a summary of the history of white poverty and draws attention to the difference between absolute and relative poverty, as well as on the difference between poverty and vulnerability. It then elaborates on the multidimensionality of these factors against a framework of five different types of capital.
