Part one of a series on dealing with aquatic weeds and water garden problems is presented. Manual control of weeds is considered the most labor intensive and needs to be repeated. Pond dyes are said to be ineffective for surface weeds like duckweed and Azolla. Copper and Diquat herbicides are noted to provide some degree of control for everything except Azolla or fairy moss.
